For safety reasons, car seats cannot be sold or passed on for second-hand use, meaning many car seats end up in our already, over filled landfill sites, when the child out grows it.

When my eldest out grew his group 0+ Stokke car seat almost 4 years ago, the choice was easy.  Like all parents, we wanted the safest option for our little man, which meant staying rear-facing for as long as possible.
