Rent your Child's Designer Wardrobe with Babu

Rental subscription service Babu are on a mission to revolutionise your child’s wardrobe while remaining kind on the planet and your wallet.

Working with a range of well-known stylists and mum influencers including Gayle Rinkoff, Louise Roe and Mary Charteris, to curate their monthly capsule collections - Babu focuses on feel-good, planet-friendly luxury clothing, while ensuring that each edit is tailored to your child’s sense of style and need.

Designed for boys and girls aged 4 and below, each collection is made up of current and past season pieces from Babu’s exclusive roster of brand partners, including Balmain, Caramel, Emilio Pucci, Gant, Il Gufo, Roberto Cavalli, Stella McCartney, Tartine et Chocolat and Tommy Hilfiger.

With each Babu monthly drop featuring 10-15 carefully curated designer pieces ranging from casualwear and partywear to outerwear, items can be enjoyed for four weeks before being replaced with a brand new edit to enjoy.

Worried about cleanliness? Don’t be. All of Babu’s items are cleaned and disinfected in-house upon each return using a state-of-the-art eco-friendly cleaning system, that is not just a better quality clean but kinder to skin, clothes and the environment.

If that’s not enough, once garments reach the end of their useful lives, rather than relying on traditional outdated textile recycling infrastructure, Babu passes them on to their sustainable impact partner Xetrov, who converts the pieces into renewable energy in a cutting-edge advanced thermal treatment process. This clean energy can then be used in a variety of ways including for power, heating, cooling, drying and food production.

Babu also makes it easy for their customers to contribute to the sharing economy and help end child clothing poverty in the UK by including a donation bag with every delivery. Items in good condition from Babu’s brand partners will enter the Babu eco-system and customers will be credited with rewards points to redeem against their subscription or to convert into a gift card.

Anything Babu does not keep will be donated to their partner charity, Little Village, or passed on to Xetrov for recycling if irreparably stained or damaged.

Subscriptions cost £60 per week (or £0.75) per garment per day and subscriptions can be paused or ended at any time.

To celebrate their launch, Babu is offering 50% off the first four weeks’ subscription for their first 100 customers.
