WHAT IS IT

Combining the latest clinically proven technologies for face and body treatments; Radio Frequency Microneedling and High Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU), the Focus Dual is an adaptable treatment that works on every layer of the skin to non surgically lift, firm and tighten.

The “Queen of Skin” Abigail James

Ideal for those wanting to get their skins’ ‘snap back’, this innovative device can vary needle depths, radio frequency settings and HIFU focal depths for the ultimate bespoke customisation.

Alongside skin tightening the focus duel can help with wrinkles and fine lines, acne scars, stretch marks, pores and even loss of facial volume, making it a great alternative for those not wanting to go down the filler route. Whats more, the Focus Dual has virtually no down time thanks to its ability to target heat directly to the deepest layers of the skin, while keeping the upper layers of skin intact, somewhat of a novelty in its field.

WHAT DOES IT INVOLVE

Following an initial consultation, where we discussed areas of concern, Abigail suggested going in with the HIFU (High Intensity Ultra Sound) first, focusing on the lower face and neck to lift and tight the jawline followed by Radio Frequency Microneedling. Only this time we would be working on  the upper half of my face, around the forehead and eye area, to minimise the appearance of frown lines and crows feet.

As the HIFU wand glides over my jawline, I am pleasantly surprised at how comfortable the treatment is. Even the second pass, which on some devices can feel rather unpleasant, didn’t make me wince.  The microneedling, on the other hand wasn’t quite as relaxing. Although not painful, it is admittedly a little uncomfortable. However sometimes it’s worth putting up with a little discomfort in the quest for beautiful skin.

Post treatment, my skin is a little red around the forehead and eye area, where I had the Radio Frequency Microneedling, but had died down within an hour or so.  While the lower part of my face managed to skip any redness at all, instead, showing a subtle, yet very definitely there, lift.

WHAT DO WE THINK

It took around six weeks post treatment to really notice a difference in my skin. Weeks went by, without any visible difference until one day I looked in the mirror and instead of seeing a tired, stressed-out face starring back at me, I saw the reflection of someone who looks rested, glowing and healthy. My jawline looked lifted and even my makeup started to sit better on my skin, ironically, since I now needed less of it.

With such effective yet natural looking results and practically no down time, its no surprise that the Focus Dual has quickly becoming one of the most successful and sought-after anti-aging treatments on the market.
