Style a cozy bedroom with design led and functional bedding

Shades of Cool, London have a collection of beautfiully handprinted quilts that create the most welcoming and oh-so comfy bed. Each quilt is made using luxuriously soft natural cotton voile exterior with a natural cotton filling, with added loft which helps keep your body temperature snug but never overheated. This makes for the most versatile of bedding; wear layerd with a duvet during the colder months, or strip back to only using the quilt in the summer, allowing you to trasnsition between seasons with little to no faff.

Versatile, beautful designs, and comfort, this is a product that keeps on giving. Whats more, all products are made by a female team of fairtrade Artisan tradespeople in India using azo-free dyes making them chemical free and eco-friendly.

The Shades of Cool handprinted quilt is available to buy in kingsize, RRP: £185.00

Every product sold, Shades of Cool donate £1.00 to The Pink Rickshaw Company in India which provides employment opportunities to 200 women from low income households in Jaipur.

Emphasis soft furnishings

Mekhann was established in 2012 to bring a contemporary outlook to a tradition of textile craft spanning two millennia. Their designs feature a vibrant mix of strong and muted colours, but above all help create a welcoming enviornent of decadence. The prints use ikat tie-dye technique, whereby the waxed threads prevent dye from penetrating the silk fibres. We loved the subdued and warm tones of the ikat 1006 cushion, and dream of a bed full of them to wind down. Think of Moroccan spa vibes.

The ikat 1006 cushion retails at £245. Visit their website to view Mekhann’s full collection

A Welcoming scent

We are big fans of scent and using it to create your signature space. There is nothing like walking into your home and being enveloped by your favorite comforting home scent and instantly relaxing; this is your space, your home, and it is welcoming you.

We have tried and tested numerous diffusers to promote this, and our new go-to is Miller Harris’ Santal room diffuser, with notes of sandwalwood, pink pepper and olibanum. Perfumed, comforting, and above all, sustainable, made from colourful recycled botteds and 100% plant based oils. .

Over the last three years, the brand has , challening themselves to make a sustainable bath & body range; not only from the formulas you find inside but to include the packaging and the entire journey. For example their plastic bottles are made from 50% post-consumer matieral. This is plastic from UK kerbside waste, and reduces the amount of new plastic being made. They are currently on the road to increasing thsi to 100%.

Miller Harris Santal Diffuser, 150ml, RRP: £65.00
