If like us, you’ve only just recovered from the summer holidays, the idea of October half-term can feel rather daunting.  But with Halloween and Bonfire Night just around the corner, not to mention the array of family fun filled activities on offer, this week long holiday has quickly become one of our favourite times of the year!

Not quite sure which fun filled day to go for this October half-term? We’ve picked 7 of our favourite days’ out the whole family will be sure to love.

HAPPY HAllOWEEN

Paultons Park, Hampshire

Happy Halloween is back with even more spooky short break fun at the UK’s number one theme park Paultons Park.  With over 10,000 pumpkins across the entire theme park, a comical creepy walk-through experience at the big Boo barn, The Little Monsters Ball and The Legend of Paulton’s Manor stage show, really is something for everyone! And of course, no visit to Paultons Park is complete without taking in the endless rides and a visit to the world famous Peppa Pig World!

FIREWORKS SPECTACULAR

LegoLand, Windsor

Who doesn’t love Lego? And this season LegoLand is pulling out all the stops with their must-see Fireworks Spectacular! Famed for being one of the best fireworks displays in the South, expect everything from a dazzling display of colour to exploding Lego bricks, all set to a back ground of fun filled music that is sure to get the entire family singing and dancing along.

Are you brave enough to visit Halloweden? This half term explore Eden’s forbid forest and come face to face mythical monsters and outlandish beast including the extremely rare Mongolian Death Worm and the loveable Giant Beast.  Learn all about them from their specially trained handlers and then try your hand at some potion making using the finest botanicals some extra special ingredients, followed by some pumpkin carving, storytelling and Owl encounters.

FAMILY SKETCHING SALONS

Have a family full of little artists? Then head over to the National Gallery this October half term, where they are celebrating a month of wellness through art.  There will be artists on hand to give you and your little ones some top drawing tips and techniques, while you create some wonderful memories to take home with you.
